2013 - Seaford Fun Day
"Performing on stage at the Barn Theatre in Seaford was absolutely amazing! Every week at ballet our dance teachers Mechele and Amy taught us a brand new part of our brilliant dance routine. It was hard but we managed it. After a couple of weeks practising the routine- our costumes arrived. We had a bear, some squirrels, foxes and even rabbits. We were all ecstatic! During the very first rehearsal at the theatre, we experienced what it would be like to dance in front of friends and family but knew that later it would be to an unfamiliar audience. Being part of the Snow White performance was such a wonderful experience and after talking to the other dancers I know that we would all love to perform at the Barn Theatre again." - Lily Tidey (Chief Animal)
The whole team at Seahaven Dance would like to thank; Lily Tidey, Poppy Tidey, Jessica Easton, Jessica Tester, Poppy Swift, Jemima Richenberg, Scarlett Beck and Charlotte Lowles for their time and effort during the rehearsals and the performances of Snow White by the Seaford Musical Theatre cast. Also a big thank you to Debbie Moy for designing and creating the beautiful costumes.
2012 - Seaford Fun Day
On Sunday 22nd July 2012 the sun came out and Seahaven Dance took part in Seaford's Fun Day at the Downs Leisure Centre. We had a very attractive stall showing some of our show costumes and photos of past shows. Amy organised a competition for naming the ballerina doll which was very popular. Lots of passers-by visited our stall with interest.
Around 12.30pm some of our pupils arrived to get ready for the dancing display. The youngest danced 'The Lily Ballet' and the older students danced 'The Tarantella'. All waited patiently until it was our turn and then danced beautifully and looked neat and tidy. A credit to Seahaven Dance. Well done to all of you! A very enjoyable and successful day, and many thanks to all our parents and helpers. We hope to see you all there again next year!
2012 - Lily Ballet
On Sunday 10th June 2012 some of the dancers at Seahaven Dance performed their 'Lily Ballet 'at the Crouch Gardens for Seaford Town Football Club's Presentation Day. It was a chilly day with rain on the way but all turned up eager to dance! Georgina and Debbie ensured hair and make-up was immaculate and the girls danced beautifully. For a few this was a special moment as it was their first ballet performance with Seahaven Dance! After applause from an appreciative audience, the rain soon followed! Many thanks to parents and all who helped this display to run smoothly.
Once a year we hold our school awards and certificate presentation afternoon. The school presents awards including; student of the year, musicality, joy of dance and the Megan Williams award. The Megan Williams award is given in memory of a much loved student who sadly passed away in 2007. Pupils receiving the award will have demonstrated hard work and shown great personal improvement within the previous year. Certificates and Medals from exam sessions during the year are also presented.
Cecchetti Classical Ballet Southern Area Awards
These are held annually at the Barn Theatre, Southwick. The competition is aimed at the once a week pupil giving them a chance to demonstrate their classwork and a short enchainment on stage. The atmosphere is friendly and encouraging and the participation in this competition is optional to students.

Gifted pupils are encouraged to audition for the Cecchetti associates scheme (extra classes once a month in London) and Cecchetti scholars (extra classes weekly in London).
